John S. Lampley is the current Executive Director for Family Promise Bartow a non-profit organization in Cartersville that provides food and shelter to homeless families. John has worked in the Behavior Health community for the last 8 years with Willowbrooke at Tanner and Harris Counseling. Currently serving as the Youth Pastor for Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA. John’s compassion for young people has provided several opportunities to assist them over the years. John is the Co-Chair to the Summer Hill Tutorial Program for Standardized Testing. In the mid 2000’s John taught in the Middle School at Shiloh Hills Christian and coached High School football. John is a native of Jackson, MS and his family currently reside in Kennesaw, GA but he has extensive service to the Cartersville Bartow County community. John has been quoted as saying “helping to make a difference in someone else’s life is what’s important”, his reputation of service and compassion for others precedes him.
